FORTHMADE is a one-day
pop-up store event featuring limited edition, hand-created product
created by CCAD artists and designers that will be held at the Easton
Town Center. We'll be open on May 4, 2013. Event
hours are 1 p.m. – 9 p.m.
In the fall of 2012, my Honors class created CCAD's first pop-up store, ONE. You can read about it, here. The success of ONE set in motion events that our ambitious seven-student class never anticipated. This included the creation of new curriculum, support and backing from CCAD, a relationship with the Easton Community Foundation, and FORTHMADE.
This year, my participation took a step in a more holistic direction as the Project and Business Manager for FORTHMADE. Though highly creative, one of my greatest strengths lies in organization and I wanted to reinforce my understanding of business operations and hone my business relationship skills.
A project of this scale makes it impossible to work on just one thing (thankfully). I've been able to do a little bit of everything, including lend my hands and advertising strategy skills to the branding and advertising team. Stepping away from the computer is so refreshing.
Be sure to connect with FORTHMADE on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and check out our website/blog. For kicks, here are some more exclusive behind the scenes pictures of the ad assembly and business team working.
